By a 3-2 vote, the Utah Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission delegated its rulemaking authority to the state legislature on several key issues, the BYU NewsNet reported on Nov. 19.

These issues include whether alcoholic beverages should be sold only in state liquor stores, and labeling requirements for malt beverages and alcohol-infused energy drinks.

Actress Nicole Ritchie, the “Simple Life” star, who is four months pregnant with boyfriend Joel Madden’s child, said that she owes the baby her life. She says that she is prepared to put on extra weight that comes with being pregnant. She does not even have any qualms about gaining 50 pounds, as she believes that the weight she will gain will be the requirement of her body to keep her baby fit.

Pregnant women are each to receive ??120 from the Government in a bid to encourage them to eat healthily and improve the health prospects of their unborn child. The plan for a ‘health in pregnancy’ grant will be outlined by Health Secretary Alan Johnson this week in his first major speech outlining how the government plans to tackle the yawning health divide between the richest and poorest in England and Wales.
