Warning Signs: You don’t look forward to spending time with her. You often feel insignificant, annoyed or suspicious afterward. When you have some good news, she acts cold or indifferent.

Mend It: One-sided friendships share two factors: competition and self-absorption. Although your initial reaction - may be to ditch a friend with either trait, in some cases it’s worth trying to shift the dynamic. Perhaps she’s a childhood pal or an important professional ally.

Obama’s School Friends Don’t Recall Much Drug Use

Barack Obama has acknowledged using marijuana and cocaine as a young man, but interviews with old friends and classmates find few who remember the presidential candidate as much of a drug user, the New York Times reported Feb. 9.

Former classmates from Obama’s high school and Occidental College, which he attended between 1979 and 1981, described Obama in mostly positive terms, with some saying he occasionally smoked marijuana but none recalling any cocaine use.
